WHILE cash donations are a huge boost to the foodbank, tins, packets and bottles can be put to immediate use.
In the coming weeks, The Mail will be organising a number of special donation events.
But in the meantime, our offices in Abbey Road, Barrow, can be used as a drop-off point.
We are open from 9am until 4.30pm from Monday to Friday. Outside of these hours, many local supermarkets have donation points.
Permanent collection stations can be found at: Asda in Barrow; Booths in Ulverston; the Co-op, Dalton and the Co-op, Roose; Morrisons, Barrow; Tesco Extra, Barrow; Tesco Flass Lane, Barrow and Tesco in Millom.
Ulverston Parish Church in Church Walk and Millom Baptist Church in Crown Street also accept donations.
All non-perishable donations are welcome, but the foodbank particularly needs cereal, pasta, fruit juice, tinned meat, fish, tea, coffee and sugar.
