BAE Systems regularly moves large items by road. This was the heaviest ever done as part of the Astute class programme.
DRIVERS are being warned about possible delays on Thursday morning as a heavy load is expected to make its way through Barrow.
BAE Systems will move the load from Associated British Ports to the Devonshire Dock Hall at 9.15am.
Roadblocks will be put in place in Michaelson Road, Bridge Road and Walney roundabout for approximately 25 mines while the move takes place.
Drivers are warned that there will be minor disruption to traffic along this route during this time.
