A MUM has called on whoever found her lost shopping vouchers to show some festive cheer and return them so she can give her children the Christmas they deserve.

Bekka Higgins lost an envelope containing around £800 in Park shopping vouchers, including a Primark card, Debenhams vouchers and a JD gift card, between Dalton Road and Debenhams yesterday.

The envelope contains her full name and address and so whoever has found it has the detail they need to return them.

In a post on Facebook, in which the heartbroken mum-of-three sadly declares "Christmas is cancelled", Mrs Higgins reveals although she can claim on her house insurance they won't pay up until January and will still mean paying an excess.

Mrs Higgins, who works at Furness General Hospital, said: "I've ripped the house and car apart, retraced my steps twice and contacted everyone we visited. It's the kids' Christmas gifts, I just want to cry."

Many of Mrs Higgins's friends have shared posts in a bid to reunite her with the vouchers. She and her husband Jay had been planning their first weekend away for months this week but now have had to cancel the break to try and find some money in time for Christmas.

Mrs Higgins has contacted Park and says she has been told that as the vouchers are classed as a currency they can't be replaced.

Anyone who has any information about the missing vouchers can contact Mrs Higgins through The Mail by emailing amy.fenton@nwemail.co.uk or calling 01229 840161.
