HIGH street food chain Greggs is launching a new delivery service, meaning their famous sausage rolls and steak bakes could soon be delivered straight to your door.

The much-loved bakery chain is trialling the scheme in Newcastle with a view to expanding it nationwide if it’s a success.

Greggs has two outlets in Barrow, both in Dalton Road, and one in Ulverston.

A minimum spend of £25 will be applied to the order, meaning you will need to order the equivalent of 20 steak bakes or 32 sausage rolls in order to get the delivery.

A Greggs spokesman said the delivery service was aimed at hungry workers who wanted a team lunch, and the trial would begin with a selection of products rather than the full menu.
