Making a splash: Subhash Chatterjee with his three gold medals after the Barrow Army Cadet Swimming Competition
A BARROW army cadet claimed three gold medals in a North West swimming competition.
Subhash Chatterjee, a member of the Barrow detachment, won top prize in the back stroke, butterfly and individual medley events, with the latter incorporating all four main strokes in one race.
He was part of a team of nine cadets to represent Cumbria and will now go into the regional squad to compete at the National Army Cadet Swimming finals in Aldershot next month.
The Chetwynde pupil regularly trains with Ulverston Swimming Club and his school.
