WARD six at Furness General Hospital has reopened to new admissions and transfers following an outbreak of vomiting and diarrhoea.
The ward was closed on Thursday morning following reports of patients experiencing consistent symptoms. Visiting was not affected.
Hospital bosses have since confirmed that the ward is now fully open.
It is believed the outbreak was not Norovirus.
