A FUNERAL will take place this week for a 31-year-old Barrow man who was allegedly murdered.
Andrew Stephen Hackett died at Furness General Hospital on Sunday December 10 after an ambulance was called to a house in Gloucester Street.
Two men were later charged in connection with his death.
Mark James Bartholomew, 39, of no fixed abode, has been charged with murder while Lee Black, 38, of Gloucester Street, has been charged with assisting an offender.
Both will appear at Preston Crown Court on Friday January 12.
Mr Hackett's inquest will be opened by coroner Kally Cheema at Barrow Town Hall on Wednesday May 23 at 10am.
His funeral is due to take place on Wednesday January 10 at 10am.
Friends are asked to meet in the cemetery for a graveside service.
