A POPULAR rugby player who died from leukaemia, will be remembered by his friends and family at a charity night in his honour.
Lee White, 30, from Barrow, died in April earlier this year after contracting pneumonia following a three-year cancer battle.
On Saturday October 1, the Furness Rugby player will be remembered with a three-course meal and live entertainment at Abbey House Hotel in Barrow.
Profits from the event, which has been organised by Mr White's partner Kim Murray and his mum Gill Ray, will be donated to St Mary's Hospice and Delete Blood Cancer.
The pair hope to raise over £2,000 for the two charities.
