A POPULAR family attraction is hosting a series of frightfully fun events to keep your little ones entertained this half-term.

Old Hall Farm in Bouth is usually popular for its traditional farming exploits like churning butter, tractor experiences and shire horse riding.

But the historic centre has introduced a series of spooky events this week to help you and your little ones celebrate Halloween.

Bobbing for apples and Halloween treasure hunts will be taking place, as well as pumpkin carving.

For the bravest of visitors, a haunted barn with spooky lights is available to explore, and guided walks around the farm will be running every day.

A spokesperson for the farm said: "It’s a great time of year to visit the farm as, not only do we have all the everyday attractions, such as feeding the animals, milking the cows and the play barn to explore, but we also have a full week of Halloween activities for half-term.

"The pumpkin carving and craft activities are proving really popular with our younger visitors so far this week.

"We’re open until October 31 so come and hear the tale of the Ghost of Old Hall and go on an interactive tour of the farm – it’s great fun for the adults too."

Open from 10am until 5pm, the farm, which uses 19th century methods to grown crops and harvest land, has been packed out with Halloween revellers keen to hear the ghost tales told by farm staff.

If ghosts and ghouls aren't your thing, you could always swing by the animals and meet some creatures from Old Hall Farm's vast array of animals.

Horses, cows, sheep, ducks and rabbits are available for feeding and you can watch the shire horses work the fields and help staff milk the jersey cows by hand.
