A FOUR-STOREY Barrow town centre premises has been sold just hours before it was due to go under the hammer.
The former Rathbone Training Centre in Abbey Road was set to be sold at an auction today in London, jointly with Kendal based chartered surveyors Peill & Company, with a guaranteed reserve price of no more than £100,000.
The substantial Victorian building is arranged over four floors and totals more than 7,000 sq ft.
Peill & Co have now revealed that an undisclosed offer has been accepted and contracts have been exchanged. In a tweet, Peill & Co said a new business would be moving in soon.
