Fire crews head to Salthouse Mills to tackle open fire
FIREFIGHTERS have issued a warning after being called to a deliberate fire on a former industrial site.
Fire crews were called to an incident at the Salthouse Mills site off Roose Road earlier this evening.
Barrow fire station responded to an alarm at around 8.30pm this evening and were joined by Walney fire crew.
This incident is the latest of a spate of deliberate fires on the site and firefighters are urging people to desist as they do not know what hazardous materials they could be setting light to.
