THE finishing touches are being made to a Pandora jewellery store is set to open in Barrow this weekend.
The Pandora store is being fitted out in Portland Walk with a special event lined up to take place this Saturday.
It will fill the empty premises previously occupied by Jessops until its closure in 2009.

The franchisees of the shop are Graeme and Helen Hogarth, who already own three Pandora branches in Kendal, Bowness and Workington.

Pandora is an international Danish jewellery manufacturer and retailer founded in 1982 by Per Enevoldsen;
The company started as a solitary store in Copenhagen before importing jewellery from Thailand and selling to consumers;
Today, Pandora products are sold in more than 90 countries on six continents through approximately 9,500 points of sale;
The company employs over 15,000 people, of whom 10,400 are located in Gemopolis, Thailand, the company's sole manufacturing site since 1989;
In 2011, it was reported that more than one piece of Pandora jewellery was sold every second.
