FEARS are growing among a loyal customer base of a popular Barrow takeaway which has been closed for a number of weeks.
The Olympic Takeaway at the corner of Buccleuch Street and Manchester Street in Barrow town centre has been closed for a number of weeks. The sign in the window simply states the popular eatery is "closed until further notice".
Closer inspection of the inside of the premises reveals a growing pile of unopened mail on the floor below the letterbox. Through the window, the takeaway looks deserted, with furniture, rubbish and dust gathering.
The Evening Mail has been unable to contact the owner or anyone representing the takeaway, who appear to have mysteriously disappeared.
