FA Cup fever hits Barrow AFC with TV appearance

A selection of the Bluebirds faithful filled The Cross Bar to be the audience on an FA Cup Third Round Special of the BBC's Football Focus.

The crowd was in a jovial mood as they cheered and listened to presenter Dan Walker and the panellists, footballing favourites Mark Lawrenson, give their take on today's FA Cup fixtures.

Father and son Matt and Josh Messenger, of Barrow, also feel the Bluebirds can pull out an underdogs win.

The Football Focus team were full of praise for the Barrow fans.

Mark Lawrenson said: "They are great. This is a massive game for them.

"With this chairman they are on their way up."

BBC presenter Dan Walker said the fans are "magnificent" and show the romance of the FA Cup.
