JUST over half of voters have said that they would not get tired if they had to run for bus in today's Evening Mail debate.

A new poll has shown that almost half of UK adults admit getting out of breath when running for a bus.

Research by the British Heart Foundation found 48 per cent of women and 42 per cent of men confessed to feeling so unfit they would get short of breath if they had to run to catch public transport.

The BHF called the figures "worrying", warning heart and circulatory disease affects around seven million people in the UK and is responsible for around 155,000 deaths each year - an average of one person every three minutes.

As of 4pm today, however, 53% of voters said that they would not get tired running for a bus, whilst 47% said that they would.
