AN elderly man confronted a sneak-in burglar during a daylight incident in Barrow today.
Cumbria police said the elderly victim confronted the man who had walked into his house in Dalton Lane, Hawcoat at around 2.15pm.
Police said the man entered through an insecure front door and made off when discovered inside the house.
The burglar has been described as being aged around 5'8" tall, 25 to 30 years, and of slim build. He was wearing a white long sleeved shirt with a tie and trousers.
