WORKMEN have been manually directing traffic through a busy four-way junction in Barrow after temporary traffic lights appear to have failed.
The lights at the junction with Abbey Road and Park Drive have been in place for a week to allow BT to carry out utility works.
The work was due to be completed on Friday but Cumbria County Council granted an extension to contractors Morrison Utility until this Thursday.
This morning the lights appeared to not be working and contract workers manually guided traffic through the lights leading to additional delays.
