THE Deadwood Stage will be rolling off the plane and into South Cumbria as the Walney Junior Amateur Operatic Company bring Calamity Jane to the stage.

This week The Forum in Barrow will be transformed into The Golden Garter Saloon, Fort Scully and Calamity Jane's cabin in the Black Hills of Dakota for the all-singing all-dancing performance.

The show opens tonight (17) and is not one to be missed. The operatic society have been running for an incredible 50 years and have attracted widespread acclaim in that period.

Walney Junior Amateur Operatic Society was formed 50 years ago and our continuing success is due to the magnificent support we receive.

Kira Hayes takes the titular role alongside Kieran McCormack as Wild Bill Hickok, Emily Wild as Katie Brown, Toby Sainty as Danny Gilmartin, Oliver Banks as Francis Fryer and Lydia Hetherington as Susan.

The show runs from Tuesday October 17 to Saturday October 21. Tickets are available from The Forum box office in Duke Street.
