THE sudden death of a man found dead in Barrow is still being treated as "unexplained", police have confirmed.

Police launched an investigation after the body of a 45-year-old man was found at a house in James Street in Barrow on July 23.

The man's death continues to be treated as unexplained.

A 48-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of supplying controlled drugs, which police believe could be connected to the death.

He has since been released following further enquiries.

Police confirmed this weekend that the death has not yet been fully explained.
