A MAN is due to appear in court tomorrow charged with a stabbing in a Barrow street.

John Paul Jennings, 27, was charged in connection with the stabbing of a man on Rawlinson Street in Barrow, on November 7.

A 37-year-old man from Barrow was injured during an alleged attack after being stabbed at least seven times in the head.

The incident is alleged to have taken place close to the junction with Harrison Street at around 4.25pm. The victim was later transferred to the Royal Preston Hospital with serious injuries.

Jennings, of Stamfordham Drive, Liverpool, has been charged with Section 18 wounding with intent, and being in possession of a bladed article. He did not enter pleas during his last court appearance in November.

Jennings will appear at Preston Crown Court tomorrow.
