A MAN is set to appear at crown court after being charged with the murder of a 35-year-old Guy Hamilton from Barrow.

Damien Hill, 44, is currently on remand at HMP Preston where he is being held on suspicion of murdering Mr Hamilton - who was found with serious injuries at around 10pm on Saturday, April 30.

Mr Hamilton was taken to Furness General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Hill, of no fixed address, was later arrested and charged with murder. He is due to appear at Preston Crown Court on Friday, July 29 where he is due to enter a plea.
