A cyclist has been admitted to a Barrow hospital following a fall on a B-road in South Cumbria.
The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) were called to reports that a cyclist had fallen after hitting ice whilst out riding on the B5285 near Coniston Water at around 10:30am today (February 14).
On arrival, a GNAAS Aircrew Doctor and a paramedic team assessed and treated a 52-year-old man from Kendal for hip and leg injuries.
The injuries were not deemed as life-threatening, and he was transported to Furness General Hospital by land ambulance.
