Crew called to reports of fire at block of flats in Barrow
FIREFIGHTERS were called to reports of a fire in the communal area of a block of flats in Ormsgill today.
The crew from Barrow was called to Low White Close in Ormsgill just before 6pm and on arrival discovered that a plastic sign in one of the buildings had been set alight.
The fire had been already been extinguished by a member of the public by the time firefighters arrived.
Police were also requested to attend the scene due to the fire being suspected as arson.
