A COURT has issued an arrest warrant for a Barrow woman accused of allegedly assaulting a fireman after she was rescued from a burning building.

The female homeowner of the property in Lancaster Street called 999 at around 10.30pm on Wednesday June 10 after discovering a fire in her kitchen. On arrival, firefighters from Barrow and Walney discovered the woman inside the kitchen and rescued her from the blaze.

It is later alleged the woman assaulted watch manager Paul Milburn in an attempt to regain access to her property. Police were called and she was arrested on suspicion of assault.
