PROSECUTORS have dropped a case against a convicted sex offender accused of breaching an order which bans her from having any contact with kids.

Nicola Williams, of St Vincent Street in Barrow, had denied three counts of breaching a sexual harm prevention order, which bans her from having any contact with children.

The charges relate to offences that Williams, who was then known as Nikita Moore, was convicted of in 2015. She was jailed for sharing plans to rape children on online messaging service WhatsApp with Kevin and Susan Barnett.

Williams, 25, was due to go on trial at Preston Crown Court on Friday but prosecutors have now dropped the case after discovering she had not breached the order.

A spokeswoman for the Crown Prosecution Service said: "Following a further detailed review of the evidence in the case the CPS concluded that the ‎defendant had not breached the specific terms of the sexual harm prevention order and we therefore offered no evidence against her."
