COMMUTERS could be left stranded after another train to Barrow has been cancelled.

In a tweet posted earlier from its official account, Northern Rail announced the 9.09pm service from Preston to Barrow would be cancelled.

Northern said the cancellation was due to a member of crew being unavailable.

This cancellation means commuters at nine stations along the route will be left without a late-night train.

The affected stations are: Carnforth, Silverdale, Arnside, Grange, Kents Bank, Cark & Cartmel, Ulverston, Dalton and Roose.

The train was scheduled to arrive in Barrow at 10.36pm.
