A BARROW man who assaulted a train passenger has been ordered to 150 hours of community service.
Lewis Elliot, of Beach Street, assaulted Jake Steele on March 4 earlier this year on a train between Ulverston and Barrow.
The 22-year-old pleaded guilty to the charge at Furness Magistrate's Court on October 5.
Elliot was also ordered to pay £150 compensation to Mr Steele, as well as paying court costs of £85 and an £85 victim surcharge.
