Alert: The cold-callers had been seen operating in Barrow
CUMBRIA County Council has issued warnings against fraudsters who are thought to be operating from a van.
Last week, the council received several reports of cold-callers in both Carlisle and Barrow.
The scammers are thought to be selling generators, tools and cooking equipment across the county.
The council has advised anyone who receives these calls to contact Citizens Advice on 03454 04056 or call Cumbria police on 101.
