A COACH driver convicted of driving without due care and attention has kept his licence.
John Prospero, 72, of Salthouse Road, Barrow, was driving to Cartmel Racecourse on June 30 earlier this year when his coach collided with a Jaguar XF. He was overtaking traffic waiting to turn at a junction when the collision occurred.
His guilt was proved in absence at South Cumbria Magistrates' Court on November 15.
Prospero was handed nine penalty points and fined £660 for the incident. He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £66 and court costs of £85.
