A BARROW young carer with a heart of gold has been nominated for The Mail's Christmas Stars.

Evie Fones is a very caring youngster who, with her mum Jenny, helps to look after her dad Jason, who has epilepsy and other health issues.

She also assists with supporting her twin sister, Ellie, and her brother Ewan, 11, who both have special educational needs.
