CHRIS EVANS has called it quits on Top Gear after one series.
Earlier today he said he was, "stepping down from Top Gear" adding: "Gave it my best shot but sometimes that's not enough. The team are beyond brilliant, I wish them all the best."

The show has come under harsh criticism since it was rebooted after the departure of Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond.
Evans, alongside co-host Matt LeBlanc struggled to win over the hearts of die hard fans, with people complaining he had no chemistry with his fellow presenters.
It was reported that LeBlanc himself threatened to quit unless BBC bosses got rid of Evans.
Viewing figures plummeted to an all time low last night, with only 1.9 million people tuning in to watch the series finale.
Under Clarkson, the show regularly attracted over six million viewers.
Will you be sad to see Evans go?
