A CAR has been pictured lodged in a broken fence on the side of one of South Cumbria's most notorious roads.
The grey Nissan Micra was spotted on the left-hand side of the A5087 in the direction towards Barrow, having collided with a fence on the stretch of road between Bardsea and Roose.
It was seen by commuters travelling from Ulverston to Barrow this morning (Thursday October 19) at around 8.30am.
It is thought that no one was injured in the incident but it is the latest in a string of road traffic collisions to occur on the blighted coast road route.
The road stole the number three spot in a Mail investigation into the county's most dangerous roads, littered with 111 potholes.
