TWO evening trains have been cancelled causing misery for commuters tonight (July 11).

A train fault and a crew member being unavailable have mean the 6.03pm and 8.15pm trains from Barrow to Preston have been cancelled.

The next available service travelling South from Barrow will be the 9.43pm train which will arrive in Preston at 11.11pm.

Line operator Northern informed passengers from their Twitter support account, found @northernassist .

Northern have said that a rail replacement is being arranged, and that commuters affected should speak to station staff.

The trains were expected to call at: Roose, Dalton, Ulverston, Cark and Cartmel, Kents Bank, Grange, Arnside, Silverdale, Carnforth and Lancaster.
