FIREFIGHTERS from Barrow were called to three incidents last night.
The Barrow crew was first tasked to a chimney fire in Douglas Street on Walney at around 8pm.
Then at 9.30pm, the crew wasa called to a bench near Walney Cricket Club which had been deliberately set on fire.
Later, at 2.30am, the crew was called to another chimney fire, this time in Holker Street in Barrow.
On arrival, firefighters discovered the fire was more significant than first an anticipated and the crew had to request the aerial ladder platform to allow them to tackle the blaze from the roof.
The crew returned to the station after around an hour and a half.
