A TEN-YEAR-OLD girl from Barrow with cancer is set to have her bedroom refurbished into the den of a dreams.

Work will begin on Aimee Robinson's bedroom in Chatsworth Street, Barrow, this morning after labourers came forward to help interior designer Anne Sowerby complete the project following article published by the Evening Mail.

Aimee, who was diagnosed with acute leukaemia in January earlier this year, is desperate to have her child-like bedroom transformed into a more grown-up pad.

The St James' CE Junior School pupil wants a bunk bed with a desk for studying underneath as well as a purple and pink colour scheme and a feature wall with a 3D mural on it.

The work is being funded by the Make A Wish foundation who have pledged £2,750 to the refurbishment.

The refurbishment is set to be completed by Friday.
