BARROW'S Hairy Biker Dave Myers has reportedly moved away from his hometown, according to an interview with the TV star in a national newspaper.

Following the news that Barrow-born Myers had put his Abbey Road home on the market, the Sunday People published an interview with the celebrity chef yesterday which referred to him having "left his hometown of Barrow and moved to new homes in France and Kent with his Romanian wife Liliana".

The Evening Mail approached the celebrity chef for a comment but he declined and remained tight-lipped about whether a sale would result in him moving away from his beloved Barrow.

In yesterday's Sunday People, the article focused on the solo career of Myers, who is set to appear in a new BBC series called The Hairy Builder.

He said: “It’s great being a Hairy Builder; it’s a chance to have a look at history and past times in a real hands on way.

"The series was a good fit for me because I could deliver the history but also I’m the type of person who likes getting stuck in and getting my hands dirty, perfect.”
