A FEMALE motorist from Barrow is accused of crashing into a parked car by accidentally selecting reverse instead of first gear.
Christine Ann Cahalane of St Lukes Street, Barrow, has been charged with driving without due care and attention and failing to stop and report a road traffic collision.
The 61-year-old, who is due to appear at Furness Magistrates' Court in Barrow on Tuesday, is alleged to have crashed her Vauxhall Astra into a car parked in Ainslie Dale in Dalton on May 26.
Court charges state Cahalane is said to have selected reverse instead of first gear and collided with the parked car before driving off and failing to report the accident.
