A REPEAT offender has been jailed after assaulting two police officers and being drunk in charge of a young child in Barrow.
Kelly Wilson, who also goes by the name Kelly Samantha Louise Briggs, was found with the little one - aged under seven - on Michaelson Road Bridge in Barrow on Wednesday July 5. She then assaulted PC Holly Bee and PC Rebecca Leacy.
The 27-year-old, of Egerton Court, Barrow, pleaded guilty to all three charges during a hearing at Furness and District Magistrates Court yesterday (9). She was sentenced to 14 weeks in prison and ordered to pay £50 in compensation to each of the police officers.
