Barrow woman accused of stealing cash after being let into stranger's home

A WOMAN from Barrow accused of stealing £140 from a stranger's home after knocking on their door has gone on trial.

Rema Thompson, of Parry Street, has pleaded not guilty to two offences and is on trial today at Preston Crown Court.

The 39-year-old is accused of stealing Jack Daniels worth £150 from Morrisons in Barrow on September 15 of this year.

She is also accused of stealing £140 from a homeowner in Raglan Court after knocking on the door and being allowed into the property.
