POLICE have launched an investigation after a Barrow motorist suffered whiplash following a collision on the A595.

The incident occurred on the A road in Duddon Bridge near Broughton between Duddon Bridge Farm and Lady Hall Lane at 10am on Monday January 23.

A 31-year-old Barrow woman driving a white Vauxhall Combi stopped to help a broken down vehicle before the farm at Duddon Bridge when a black Ford Ranger with a trailer of sheep collided with the rear of the van.

The driver of the van had to be taken to Furness General Hospital with whiplash injuries following the collision.
