THREE Barrow Park Run regulars took part in a 22-minute 'virtual run' to help raise money for the victims and in memory of the 22 people killed in last month's Manchester Arena terrorist attack.

Karen Bennett, Mike Cook and his wife Louise, travelled to Manchester earlier this month to take part in the organised event which called on runners to complete a 22-minute run.

Run 22 for Solidarity is a virtual group training session which took place between 27th May – 3rd June. Runners can do the 22-minutes at a time and place of their choosing, and then submit proof of their run to Virtual Runner UK.

The Cooks and Miss Bennett took part and have now been sent their medals.

The virtual event has raised more than £40,000 to be split between funds to go to the victims of last month's terrorist attack and the North West Ambulance Service.
