A TEENAGE motorist from Barrow has been ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work after he admitted taking a car without consent and driving without insurance or a licence.
Kyle Thomas Macauley Salt pleaded guilty to the three offences when he appeared at Furness Magistrates' Court yesterday.
The 18-year-old, of Cedar Road in Barrow, admitted taking a Volkswagen Golf on January 14 without permission of the owner and driving the vehicle without insurance or a licence.
Salt was ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work, and to pay £85 costs and an £85 victim surcharge.
His driving licence will be endorsed with six penalty points.
