A FUNDRAISING teacher who was diagnosed with breast cancer in October last year is hosting her final two events of the year today in a bid to raise more funds for a well-known cancer charity.
Danielle Fitzsimons, 34, has raised more than £11,000 in less than a year as part of Fighting Fitz - a group of friends who have held a variety of events including charity football matches and music festivals over the course of the year.
Her final fundraising efforts will see her entertain 90 children for a Christmas party at Barrow Cricket Club before boogieing the night away at a special festive Rock the Fells event at Bootle Village Hall this evening.
