A BARROW thief who repeatedly stole multiple packs of boxer shorts has been jailed for four weeks.

Benjamin Roden appeared at Furness and District Magistrates Court via videolink from HMP Preston on Thursday. The 20-year-old, of Rawlinson Street, Barrow, pleaded guilty to three thefts.

The court heard Roden stole three boxes of boxers worth a total of £123 from Debenhams in Barrow on July 30 and another three boxes worth £83 on August 8. He also took boxers worth £5.99 from B&M Bargains in Barrow on July 25.

Roden will pay a £115 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.
