A PENSIONER from Barrow has been charged with drink-driving after allegedly being almost three times the legal limit.
Neville Matthew Lowther, of Mulberry Way, Barrow, is due to appear at Furness Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
The 73-year-old has been charged with driving with excess alcohol.
The charge states Lowther is accused of driving a BMW in Barrow on October 10 with an alcohol reading of 97 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
