A SPECIAL weekend to recognise Barrow's ship and submarine building heritage has seen a good turnout of support.
Residents lined the streets of the town for a parade by the Royal Navy Submarine Service when it exercised its Freedom of the Borough of Barrow.
Families turned out to watch the procession, which set off from Town Quay, at 11am on Saturday.
Crew members of HMS Ramsey have also been welcoming the public to their vessel this weekend.
HMS Ramsey is berthed at the Town Quay and is open until 5pm today.
