THE case of a man charged with murder has been adjourned on the day he was due to enter a plea.
Damien Hill, 44, is accused of killing Guy Hamilton, from Barrow. Hill is currently at Preston Prison where he is being held on remand.
Mr Hamilton, 35, was found close to his home in Meetings View, Ormsgill around 10pm on April 30 of this year.
He was taken to Furness General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Hill, of no fixed address, was later arrested and charged with murder.
He appeared before Preston Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing today where, following discussions in judge's chambers with both prosecution and defence barristers, an adjournment was granted.
Hill will next appear at Preston Crown Court on Friday September 16.
