Sentencing: Furness Magistrates' Court OLIVER BRZEZINSKI
A-MOTHER-OF-THREE has been sent to prison after pleading guilty to benefit fraud.
Aimee Jane Foster, of Dalkeith Street, Barrow, admitted to claiming £8,500 in Child Tax Credits for her three children who were not under her care.
The 35-year-old pleaded guilty to the offence which took place on January 1, 2015.
Ms Foster appeared at Furness Magistrates' Court yesterday where she was sentenced to 24 weeks in prison because of the high level of benefit fraud.
She was also ordered to pay an £80 surcharge to the victims' fund.
