A MAN from Barrow has been banned from driving after pleading guilty to drink-driving and driving without a licence or insurance.
Benjamin Thomas Caddell, of Foundry Street in Barrow, pleaded guilty to the three offences when he appeared at Furness Magistrates' Court yesterday.
The court heard that the 22-year-old provided a breath sample with a reading of 47 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath when he was arrested on April 8 of this year in Barrow. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
He also admitted driving a Ford Focus in Abbey Road, on the same date, without a licence or insurance.
Caddell was fined £200, disqualified from driving for 14 months and was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £30 surcharge.
