A BARROW man has admitted he was "stupid" after he was caught driving without insurance and a licence.
Daniel Michael Allen, of Greenhill Close, Barrow, pleaded guilty to using a motor vehicle without third party insurance and driving without an appropriate licence at Furness Magistrates' Court yesterday.
Allen was caught driving a Volkswagen Golf in Cavendish Dock Road in Barrow on August 28.
Representing himself in court, the 23-year-old said: "This was stupid."
He was fined £120 by presiding magistrate Mr Ian Skillen and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £85. He also had his licence revoked for 12 months after accumulating 18 points.
